Wool has shorter fibers. The surface is hairy and not very smooth, making it unsuitable for a novice to use as a canvas. The color on wool is bright, beautiful and even, great for dyeing, but can be a little tricky if you want gradual color changes. Wool fabric is naturally yellowish not white.
